📌 Real FESCO Bill Calculation Examples (including FCA)

Example 1 – Protected (180 units):
Energy: (50×3.95)+(50×7.74)+(80×13.01) = Rs 1,625
Fixed: Rs 300 | Subtotal: 1,925 | GST: Rs 347 | Base bill: Rs 2,272
Add FCA (Rs 3.3/unit ×180 = Rs 594) → Final ≈ Rs 2,866

Example 2 – Non-Protected (350 units):
Energy: (50×3.95)+(50×7.74)+(100×13.01)+(150×33.10) = Rs 7,018.5
Fixed: Rs 400 | Subtotal: 7,418 | GST: Rs 1,335 | Base bill: Rs 8,753
Add FCA (Rs 3.3/unit ×350 = Rs 1,155) → Final ≈ Rs 9,908

💡 How to Reduce Your FESCO Bill

  • Stay under 200 units – Protected consumer rates save you thousands.
  • Monitor your meter every 5 days – If you reach 160 units by the 25th, reduce usage drastically.
  • Set AC to 26°C – Each degree below 26 adds 8% to your bill.
  • Install LED bulbs – Replace 10 bulbs → save 30‑50 units monthly.
  • Use fans instead of ACs when possible – Fans consume only 70W, ACs 1500W.

How this FESCO bill estimate is calculated

Tariff data last reviewed: 23 August 2026. Slab rates used by this page are stored in a single file (assets/tariffs.js) and applied to every calculator on this site.

  1. Your monthly units are split across the NEPRA domestic slabs and each part is charged at its own rate.
  2. A fixed (minimum) monthly charge is added according to your consumption band.
  3. General Sales Tax at 18% is applied to the energy plus fixed charge.

The result is a base estimate. It deliberately excludes items that change every month and are printed on your own bill.

Why your actual FESCO bill can differ

  • Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA) – typically around Rs 2.7–4.0 per unit for FESCO, changing monthly. Multiply your units by the FCA on your bill and add it.
  • Quarterly tariff adjustments – recovered over several months and shown as a separate line.
  • Billing period length – a cycle of 33 days records more units than one of 28 days.
  • Arrears and late-payment surcharge – unpaid amounts from earlier months.
  • Fixed line items – meter rent, TV fee and, where applicable, income tax or municipal charges.
  • Time-of-Use meters – if your bill lists peak and off-peak units separately, a single-rate slab estimate will not match it.

Faisalabad's mix of household and small industrial load means many homes here also run a separate commercial meter; make sure you are reading the domestic meter before using this estimate.

What you need before using the FESCO calculator

Only one number: units consumed this month. You can find it in two ways.

  • Read the Units Consumed field on your printed FESCO bill.
  • Or subtract the previous meter reading from the current reading – both are printed on the same bill.

FESCO supplies electricity in Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Chiniot and Toba Tek Singh. Tariff notifications and official bill copies are published by FESCO at https://www.fesco.com.pk/ and by NEPRA at nepra.org.pk.

FESCO bill calculator – frequently asked questions

Is the FESCO bill calculator accurate for 2026?

It applies the current NEPRA-notified domestic slab rates stored in one place on this site. It is an estimate: FCA and quarterly adjustments are added by FESCO each month and are not included.

What is the FESCO protected-consumer limit?

200 units a month, subject to NEPRA's protected-consumer conditions. Cross it and the higher non-protected rates apply to your full consumption.

Does FESCO charge peak-hour rates for homes?

Only if you have a Time-of-Use (ToU) meter. Standard single-rate domestic meters are billed on slabs, not on peak/off-peak timing.

Is this an official FESCO website?

No. BillCalculator.com.pk is an independent calculator and information website. It is not operated by, affiliated with or endorsed by Faisalabad Electric Supply Company, NEPRA or any government body. Always confirm charges against your official bill.

This tool gives an estimate for planning purposes. For the amount you actually owe, refer to your official FESCO bill.

FESCO uses the NEPRA tariff slabs for domestic consumers. Your bill is made up of:

Who is a Protected Consumer?

If you use 200 units or less per month, you are a protected consumer and pay subsidised rates. Crossing 200 units in any single month will make you non‑protected for the next six months – which can more than double your bill. This is the most common reason for unexpected high bills.
